Mimi walking

Here is a video of Meera walking!!!  She started taking steps on her own a while ago, but she is now really starting to walk more consistently.  This is not the best example of her work, but it is the best one we have on video, so we thought we would share it.  She still has a ways to go before she is running around the house, but we are all so happy and proud (nobody more than Mimi) that she has reached this milestone. I have also posted some fun videos and photos from our camping trip and from the summer. -ejd

Meera & Emma's Birthday

Hello All! Meera & Emma are two! We had a great birthday party in the park with friends and family. We ordered pizza and Ashwini and family made each of the girls ladybug cakes and cupcakes to share. The park was a hit so bored little ones could run and play. And clean up was easier too. The girls loved all of the attention and seemed to be on cloud nine. We couldn't have pulled it off without the help of my parents (Amama and Pop Pop) and our dear friends Ashwini & Yatin. 

The girls are growing and changing daily. Emma has a constant dialogue with herself all day long, mostly consisting of talking on her play phone and taking care of her "Baby Dane." Meera continues to be a crack up. She has been exploring her emotions recently and likes to say "Mimi shy" whenever we are talking to new people. (I am not sure if she is really shy or just likes to pretend to be). She has taken a few steps on her own recently! We are overjoyed and hope that she will be able to walk soon. She loves walking with her mini-grocery cart - so much that we take it with us on our walks around the block.

It is amazing to watch them grow into themselves and so sweet to witness their special relationship (incredibly they hug and kiss more than they hurt each other these days).
