Back in Portland

Hi fam and friends. Greetings from Portland. We have been back for several weeks and love being home. The weather has been beautiful, a little cold (40s-50s), but nothing close to the frigid temperatures of Minneapolis. Grandma Sue and Grandpa Kris bought us an all-terrain stroller for Christmas, which has allowed us to get out of the house much more. (Now that they are both ~13 lbs it is hard to carry them both!) Big news: the girls started eating solids, well, semi-solids, in the form of rice cereal with breastmilk. Here are a few photos of their experience. They seem to love it. We are starting slow, with just one tablespoon and a ton of breastmilk.
Grandpop (my dad) was here helping us out for a little over a week, then Grandma Sue came for a few days and Grandpa John arrived yesterday in our car with Sadie from Minneapolis. We are so amazed and grateful with how supportive and helpful our families are.
I have tried to post videos in the past with no success, but was able to today. Here are videos of Em rolling over and of Grandma Sue with Meera.
We are so happy the girls have Obama as president. We will be watching the inauguration on Tuesday. Sending you all love and wishing you a Happy 2009.
